Overview:
GUNBIRD 2 is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up developed by Psikyo, originally released in arcades. This PC version, available via Steam Key, offers a port of the classic arcade experience. Players select from a roster of distinct characters, each possessing unique attack patterns and special abilities, to navigate through a series of stages filled with enemy aircraft and boss encounters. The primary objective is to clear each stage by defeating all adversaries, culminating in a final confrontation.Key Features:
- Character Roster: Choose from seven distinct playable characters, including five new to GUNBIRD 2, plus secret characters. Each character features unique shot types and special attacks.
- Two-Player Co-op: Experience the game with a friend in local co-op mode, allowing two players to simultaneously control different characters and combine their firepower against enemies.
- Arcade Mode: Replicates the original arcade gameplay, providing a challenging experience focused on score attack and stage progression.

Gameplay Mechanics:
Players pilot their chosen character through a top-down perspective, dodging enemy projectiles while firing their primary weapon. A secondary "charge shot" can be deployed after holding the fire button. Additionally, a limited number of powerful "bombs" are available, clearing the screen of most projectiles and dealing significant damage to enemies. The game features a standard health bar system, with power-ups dropped by specific enemies to enhance weapon strength and acquire additional bombs.
