New Gundam Breaker is a third-person action game focusing on Gunpla customization and combat. Players pilot Mobile Suits constructed from various Gunpla parts, battling against other Gunpla in arena-style missions. The core gameplay loop involves acquiring new parts, customizing existing ones, and engaging in combat to further expand customization options. Key features include:- Gunpla Customization: Players can combine head, torso, arms, legs, and backpack parts from a diverse pool of Gunpla models. This allows for the creation of unique Mobile Suit configurations.
- Part Acquisition: During missions, defeated enemy Gunpla drop their parts. These can be immediately equipped mid-mission or collected for later use. Parts have varying rarities and stats.
- Combat Mechanics: Gameplay involves melee and ranged attacks, special abilities tied to equipped parts, and a "Breaker Skills" system. Destroying specific enemy parts can temporarily disable their functions or grant advantages.
- Team-Based Gameplay: Missions frequently involve 3v3 team battles. Players can strategically combine their Gunpla loadouts to complement teammates and achieve objectives.
- Inner Frame System: Beyond external parts, players can select an "Inner Frame" which influences the Mobile Suit's base stats and available EX Skills (powerful special moves).
- Customization Depth: In addition to swapping parts, players can apply paint schemes, decals, and battle damage effects to their Gunpla, offering visual personalization.
