Overview

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. This title, originally released in Japan in 2014 as Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!, has been remade with Unreal Engine 4 for a global release. Set in Kyo (Kyoto) during the 1860s, a tumultuous period in Japanese history, the game places players in the role of Sakamoto Ryoma. Ryoma, falsely accused of murdering his mentor, goes undercover in the Shinsengumi under the alias Saito Hajime to find the true culprit and clear his name. The narrative explores themes of justice, honor, and betrayal amidst the Bakumatsu era's political upheaval.
