Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person shooter with player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) elements, set in a supernatural Bayou. Players assume the role of bounty hunters tasked with eliminating monstrous targets and extracting bounties. Bounty Hunt Mode
In Bounty Hunt mode, up to twelve players, in teams of one, two, or three, are deployed onto a large, open-world map. The primary objective is to locate and kill one or two boss monsters (e.g., The Butcher, Spider, Assassin, Scrapbeak). Finding the boss requires players to activate "Dark Sight" to locate clues, which reveal the monster's lair. Once the boss is defeated, players must "banish" its corpse, which takes a set amount of time and alerts other players to the bounty's location. Successfully extracting the bounty at one of the designated extraction points completes the hunt.Quick Play Mode
Quick Play is a shorter, solo-only match type where ten players compete to be the last hunter standing. The objective is to find and activate four rifts to charge an "Wellspring." The player who activates the Wellspring becomes the target for all other hunters. The game concludes when the Wellspring carrier is killed or successfully extracts.Progression and Customization
Players earn experience and in-game currency through successful hunts. Experience contributes to a Bloodline rank and individual hunter levels. Higher Bloodline ranks unlock new equipment, weapons, and tools. Hunters can be customized with various perks and traits as they level up. Should a hunter die in a mission, they are permanently lost, along with all their equipped gear, necessitating the recruitment of a new hunter. Weapons include a variety of historical firearms, melee weapons, and explosives, each with distinct stats and applications.Technical Specifications
